Nowadays, because of pollution and the risks of contamination, city water is treated with chlorine
which is the cheapest component to adapt to the market.
This high concentration of chlorine and chloramines is not without effect on the skin when we take
our bath or shower.
The filter of AQUATONIC SHOWER ® neutralizes 99.9% chlorine content in water.
The neutralization agent for chlorine is essentially Vitamin C of pharmaceutical quality (Ascorbic
Acid - taken from about 300 fruits for a filter).

The de-chlorination has a long history. In medical activity is a problem recurrent and critical for

The filter of AQUATONIC SHOWER ® releases the exact amount of vitamins necessary for
neutralizing the chlorine and chloramines while water passes through the filter. When water is
cut off, the filter does not release more vitamins. This advantage can be considerably lengthened
the life of the filter. Moreover, the effectiveness of the filter is the same whatever the water
pressure or temperature, and not dependent on the water quality.
Each filter contains about 20 grams of Vitamin C (300 lemons are needed to extract these 20 gr.)
and is able to neutralize 0.4 ppm chlorine in 19,000 litres of water. The peculiarities of water in
different regions this may affect treatment capacity, which is why we guarantee treatment
capacity limited to 10,000 litres.
Note: The density of chlorine in running water is a standard value of the order of 0.1 ppm.

The chlorine and chloramines:
Chlorine is widely used for operations of water treatment in Because of its excellent
bactericidal properties, its low cost and ease employment of its derivatives (bleach for example).
INRS (Institut National de Recherche et de Security - France) conducted a study on eye and
respiratory irritations caused by chlorine and its derivatives.
Chlorine is often soluble in water (with the result in its transformation hypochlorite) or directly in
the form of hypochlorite.
The ability of hypochlorite to spray is low, it is difficult to impute phenomena directly irritation.
